Massive LightWave3D 2026 Presentation!
For those of you who missed it, all 5 hours and 55 minutes of awesomeness, you really need to check out the presentation LightWave Digital did on Saturday, May 2nd. So many things were demonstrated. You can watch the presentation below. If you don’t have the time for that, but want to know more about what was demo’ed, here is a very short list.
Advanced Placement, MotoRig, 2D and 3D tracker system, Ocean, RIPR2, GODOT interchange, Construct enhancements, The New Fracture System, Asset Browser that does more than models, images, scenes but also VDB!, a new UV Packing Solution, Ivy, The new Snow Generator solution (which can do a lot more than snow),a ton of Octane stuff, Thor (Lightning generator) and much, much more. It was madness! Monday Madness on a saturday?! Speaking of Monday, Monday, May 4th is the last day you can get your upgrade for ANY previous version of LightWave3D to LightWave3D 2026, at Midnight, GMT (UK) for 295GBP (about 415 dollars US).
Make no mistake, this is a huge, massive, and incredibly valuable upgrade. We haven’t had an update even remotely like this in decades. Perhaps ever. Also coming in LW 2026 well beyond what was listed above and demo’ed during the presentation, includes; Weight and Instancing Brush enhancements, FiberFX improvements, the implementation of Nokia QT (down the road but it’s coming) UI (but not destroying the interface we love) technology, Chronosculpt 2026, Boat dynamics and Wake system (for use with Ocean). And while not confirmed for LW 2026 (but may be likely) a linux version of LightWave3D. And that’s just the tip of the wave.
We are going to be diving headfirst into tutorials immediately and bring you the best training possible as LightWave3D 2026 enters open Beta with those of you who have upgraded, getting access to it on Monday! There is a bit of a mad rush to pick up seats and seat upgrades, especially after this presentation. So if you have bought a seat or purchased a seat, keep in mind there will be a slight delay before you can have the purchase processed if you picked it up this weekend or on Monday before the end of the sale. Don’t worry though, Deuce is on the case with your purchases.
Make no mistake, WE ARE BACK!
