Current Rigging Concepts for Lightwave

Current Rigging Concepts teaches the entire character rigging workflow from end to end, forget skelegons, forget making hold bones, do away with modeler (mostly). With new tools like Auto IK, weight painting in Layout, and more, it is easier than ever to bring life into your digital creations, and this content shows how they all integrate into the best of what Lightwave has to offer. IMPORTANT!! THIS CONTENT REQUIRES THE FOLLOWING 3RD PARTY TOOLS:RR TOOLS3rdPowers Weight PainterLWBrush (Optional, but highly recommended, used to create morphs)   Video Runtime: 1 Hour 20 minutes INCLUDED CHAPTERS: 1) Intro, Required tools and Setup 2) Building the Skeleton We learn how ignoring bone scale rest length and just scaling the bones directly is … actually not a problem? 3) FK Controls (IKBooster) Ok… its old tech so sue me. Its still the best in the industry though for what it does, and we’ll find out how IKBooster greatly enhances both the IK and FK workflows. 4) IK Controls (RR Tools brand new multi-directional Auto IK) Find out how IK doesn’t have to feel like a constraint you place on the character, but rather something you apply or remove as you see fit. 5) Weighting the Character No more modeler, the 3rd powers weight painting tool completely eliminates modeler from the picture here and I show you everything you need to know to make this step a breeze. 6) Building a Face Panel Control your character’s face via your own customizable user interface. We go over just enough about expressions to let you achieve this. 7) Quaternion and Joint Compensation Quaternions make rotations convenient but they tend to act up with joint compensation and similar deforms. I show all the methods I know to tackle this problem. 8) Geometry Matters It really does! 3 polygons can make the difference between a joint and a caved-in mess. Current Rigging Concepts:
