Cat Smallwood
Cat Smallwood, Artist and 3D Modeler.
I started with Inspire 3D almost 2 decades ago, moved into Lightwave and have been working in that as my primary 3D tool since. In 2008 I began working with friends in the aviation business to provide imagery and animations to businesses that wanted to grow and create a dynamic and exciting image of their company in a business field that is full of competition. My work also moved into working with aviation business organizations in the Miami 305 area and with the Eastern Flight 401 Tribute, a group of survivors of Eastern 401 that crashed in the Everglades in 1972. My work has been featured on the news with them and through my knowledge of the aviation business as a professional airline pilot, I’ve been able to bring aviation imagery to life for many. My work has been used on 6 of 7 continents and I continue doing 3D projects today while still flying in the airlines.
If you are in need of a particular aircraft or a paint scheme for an aircraft I have, my services are available to accomplish your task!
I’m proud to be part of such a dynamic and awesome community and look forward to providing products and services to help it grow.

C-130H Hercules for using LightWave3D. Made of 175,737 polygons, this detailed replica of the Lockheed C-130H Hercules has the major control surfaces separated but not animated, propellers are in their own layers with pivot points set for rotation in your animations or still images. The model comes painted in the Tennessee Air National Guard color scheme. For repainting the model easily, a Photoshop PSD file is included with the basic layers and the UV Mapping images. The rear door edges are modeled into the aircraft, but not separated and a simple interior is placed inside if you wanted to finish the cargo doors.
